Chuckd - Hello, my name is Chuck, I'm 28 as of this writing, and I've been collecting German firearms for many years. My main interest is the weapons of the average infantryman, not sniper rifles or specialist weapons. Everything from the Luger up to the MG42 capture my interest and have for a long time. My day job is as a computer geek for municipal government, but in my spare time I own and operate Southern Michigan Arms a web-based retail firearms business and I am a Class III dealer. I enjoy discussing all things WWII, especially all things WWII weaponry, and am happy to answer any questions. That said, don't hesitate to contact me. Send me a PM |

Prusakowski - My name is Mike and I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force in 2002, and I currently work for the Federal Government. Ive earned a degree in Criminal Justice Studies and a masters degree in Public Administration. I started collecting firearms in 1974 when I bought a 1911 Luger from a WWI veteran. This sparked my interest in collecting P-38 pistols since, at this time in my life, couldn't afford collecting Lugers. In 1980 I sold the collection to help pay college. After college I got married, had kids, a career, and so on. In 1997 I got the bug to start collecting again and the wife gave me the "green light" to have at it - - within reason of course. I didn't want to be an "accumulator", but a focused collector, so I specialize in W.W. II German self-loading rifles, specifically G/K43 rifles, ZF4 scopes and other accessories directly related to the G/K43. I'm an NRA "Benefactor" member and a Life Member of the North American Hunting Club. Send me a PM |

jmilesII - My name is Jonathan, age 32. I'm a corporal with a city police department in Pennsylvania where I've worked for seven years. I am also a member of the area CERT (SWAT) team, a firearms instructor, and an EMT. I am a graduate of Boston College where I played football for four years. I have always been fascinated with history, especially WWII, even at a young age. I've been collecting WWII militaria seriously for four years. At one time I had a great collection of Japanese, Russian, US, and British militaria and firearms. Recently I decided to take the advice of some of my elders and focus my collecting. The G/K43 rifle was always my favorite, and I own over 20 G/K43 rifles, including variations and possibly the last produced K43 rifle of WWII. Of course one cannot collect just the guns, so I also have a nice grouping of ZF4 scopes, original mounts, slings, G/K43 pouches, some rare G/K43 magazines, and a few other choice rifles such as 98ks, M1 Garands, No4 enfields. Send me a PM |

David W. Davis - DOB: 7 Nov 1947, Retired military [1967 - 1991], I am a disabled combat veteran, married with three adult children. I have collected primarily WW-2 artifacts with a main emphasis on WW-2 German service rifles, pistols, helmets, uniforms and medals, for the past 40 years. I enjoy modern military style firearms as well. My wife and I live in Central Texas near my last duty station, Fort Hood, where my wife is a Principal at a school on post. You could say we have never really left the Army. The hobby has certainly changed over the years with the advent of the Internet and is far more complex, filled with pitfalls and ever more expensive. I seldom sell or trade any of my personal collection so there should not arise a conflict of interest when I voice my thoughts on a subject. Like wise I am not in competition with you to buy most common rifles or artifacts. I intend to be a moderator not a dictator. I will not lock or censure any post as long as civil decorum is maintained. I will, however, not permit personal attacks on others. This forum should be a place of learning and a place that fosters comradely friendship. Lastly, I do not fancy myself an expert only a student learning from fellow students. Send me a PM |
